Strawberry Cupcakes = Summertime

I haven't posted in a couple of days.

That's because I was eating these.

And they taste like summertime.

In case you didn't know, summertime is my very very favorite time of year.  I wrote a poem about it in sixth grade.   I love everything about summer.   And strawberries come with summer.  Another favorite.

I have been skeptical of the Cupcake Movement.  "What's so fantastic about a cupcake?", I've asked.  Now I know.  I have cupcakes on the brain.

Strawberry Puree

First you puree strawberries. And add milk and vanilla.

Then you add them to the batter.

Then you add more pureed strawberries to the icing. What's not to love?

Here's the recipe I found on Martha Stewart's website for Sprinkle's Strawberry Cupcakes. (I did add banking soda, as suggested in some of the comments on Martha's site).

You should definitely make them.  Now.
