I have yet to become tired of taking pictures of the locals driving. I have attempted to explain today's holiday in a simple fashion, but seem to be unable to do so.
Today is the day after Kuningan, Manis Kuningan (Sweet Kuningan). Kuningan is the last day of Galungan, a period of 10 days where the ancestors visit the earth; and is the day the ancestors leave. The day after Kuningan is when everyone gets dressed up again and has more ceremonies and they all go out visiting to ask forgiveness and generally make merry... on the scooter...

Or they go to the local Carrefour, where most of the population seemed to be today. I think that might not be what the first Balinese Hindus did, but I'm sure there is always room for new tradition.

And I was at Carrefour today too! Also, I love taking a pictures of people on motor bikes too although mine usually come out blurry. :) Thanks for the blog on the holiday I am learning new stuff!
