Baby Thomas on June 6, 2005. What a perfect day.
"Bed Head" enjoying his birthday donut in the morning. Daddy was a hero and went out the night before at 8:30, drove into the traffic-ridden city, and bought a dozen Krispy Kremes so Thomas could have a yummy donut on his birthday morning. What a daddy.
The hotel sent us a complimentary cake for T's birthday. It was beautiful!!! Then...somebody (I'm not naming any names, but it starts with a T and goes "ahmas")...anyway, somebody might have gotten into the kitchen and pulled the box onto the floor to get a better look at it. So, it wasn't beautiful for long, but it was delish!
Ah, here we go. His choo-choo train cake that I made with help from our cook. If it wasn't for her I would have spent $20-$30 on vanilla and shortening to make the frosting. Luckily Vera knows where to get those ingredients, and how to read what they are, for a mere $2.
Check out our handsome swimmer.
I don't even know what to say about this little guy. We can't imagine our family without him. What a light he is in our lives. He's got a smile, and usually a hug, for everyone who looks his way. His charisma and energy keep us on the move. I look forward to every minute of guiding him as he grows into a young man. It is a blessing to be the mother of two wonderful little boys.
"Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD
And the fruit of the womb is His reward."
Psalm 127:3
May I strive each day to live like my children are the rewards of God.
