I just made an appointment for Thomas to see the dr. today. This means Charlie has to get off work early so I can use the truck. Before I made the appointment I was convinced Thomas needed to go, now I'm not so sure. Does Charlie really need to take off early? Do we really need to drop another 20 at the dr.'s office? Does he need an antibiotic? What if I get there and the dr. just says, "yes, he's teething, that can make them uncomfortable."? I KNOW he's teething. Then I'll feel stupid for going to the trouble. And I just wasted $20.
But he IS sick. He's been sad for three days. He's had a fever of 102.5. He hasn't been eating. And his eye is grossly oozy and now it's pink and swollen underneath. All of the first symptoms are probably just some flu bug, because Charles had the same thing earlier in the week, but the eye makes me worried. Ah! I just looked on Dr. Sear's website and he says if the eye is oozing green it is probably indicative of a sinus infection and should be evaluated by a dr. Whew! But still... I'd hate to get there and have it be nothing...
